Courthouse project back on drawing board

It’s back to the drawing board for the proposed Boone County Courthouse expansion.

Commissioners on Monday signed an amended contract with their architects, Cannon Moss Brygger & Associates, and asked for new plans on a smaller courtroom addition at the west end of the existing courthouse.

New Design Contract

The amended architecture contract includes a maximum cost of $9,650 for revised plans and specifications to be completed as soon as possible. Commissioners Hank Thieman and Jerry Tisthammer voted in favor of the amended contract, while Commissioner Tom Schuele voted against it.

The county board will meet with architects Larry Goldberg and Brad Kessler next Monday, Nov. 17, at 1 p.m. to discuss the revised plans.
