An Albion home sustained extensive smoke damage from a fire last Friday afternoon, Nov. 14.
The fire at the Ann Kruse residence, 920 West Main Street, was reported about 1:49 p.m. Friday. It apparently started a back rooms of the house, according to Bruce Benne, assistant fire chief. Mrs. Kruse escaped the house without injury.
Albion Fire Department responded to the call with six units and about 15 personnel. The fire was extinguished in about one hour.
