Opal Meneely

Opal Meneely, 94, Newman Grove, died Sunday, Nov. 23 at the Mid-Nebraska Lutheran Home. Funeral services were held on Wednesday, Nov. 26 at 2 p.m. at Zion Lutheran Church in Newman Grove. Pastor Clifford Branson officiated. Burial was held in the Hope Cemetery.

Charlotte Spieker

Charlotte Spieker, 90, of Albion, died  Sunday, Nov. 9 at Good Samaritan Society in Albion. Funeral services were held at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 12 at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Petersburg. Fr. Stan Schmit officiated. Burial was held in the Parish Cemetery.

Richard Lee Galitz

Richard “Dickie” Lee Galitz, 73, of Genoa, died on Monday, Nov. 24, 2008 at the Genoa Long Term Care Center in Genoa. Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 26, at the Levander Funeral Home in Albion. Rev. Don Dennison officiated. Burial was held at the Rose Hill Cemetery in Albion.

Alphonse L. Starzec

Alphonse L. Starzec, 91, died Sunday, Nov. 30, 2008 at the Golden Living Center in Columbus. Mass of Christian Burial was held at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 3, at St. Anthony Catholic Church in Columbus. Reverend Del Lape officiated. Interment was held at St. Bonaventure Cemetery in Columbus. Military Honors were by Hartman Post #84, American Legion Honor Guard.
