Charlie Meis, vice president of engineering at Lindsay Corporation, has been awarded the Irrigation Association’s 2008 Industry Achievement Award for his contributions to agriculture and the irrigation industry. Meis was singled out by the association for his life-long dedication to engineering better and safer irrigation equipment. The award was presented at the Irrigation Association’s recent 2008 Irrigation Show in Anaheim, Calif.
Meis, who resides at Albion, Neb., with his wife, Pamela, continues to use his talents to enhance the center pivot industry. He is currently serving on the Center Pivot Manufacturers Conservation Team, a group that develops water and energy conservation measures for center pivot users.
