Marie E. Starkey, 79, of Fremont, died Tuesday, Dec. 6, 2008 at Shalimar Gardens in Fremont. Funeral services were held Friday, Dec. 19 at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church at Cedar Rapids. Monsignor Ralph Steffenmeier officiated. Burial was held in the St. Michael Catholic Cemetery in Spalding.

Elsie V. Staub, 89, of Albion, died on Dec. 19, 2008 at Boone County Health Center. Funeral services were held at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 23, 2008 at Zion Lutheran Church with Rev. Larry Sydow officiating. Burial will be held at the Roselawn Cemetery in Columbus following services.

Viola Formanek, 88 of Lindsay, died on Friday, Dec. 19, 2008 at her home in Lindsay. Funeral services were held on Monday, Dec. 22 at 10 a.m. at Holy Family Catholic Church in Lindsay. Father James Novotny officiated. The burial was held at the Lindsay Holy Family Cemetery in Lindsay.
