Boone Central High School will host the 64th Annual Boone Central Choral Clinic on Monday, January 19, 2009.
Schools attending this year’s clinic are Aurora, Battle Creek, Boone Central, Cedar Rapids, Central City, Clearwater, Columbus Lakeview, Columbus Scotus, Elgin Public, Humphrey St. Francis, Newman Grove, Pope John XXIII, Spalding/Spalding Academy, St. Edward, Twin River, and Wheeler Central.
Guest clinician is Dr. Kurt Runestad. He is in his fifth year as an Assistant Professor and Director of Choral Activities at Doane College in Crete, NE. His top choir tours nationally and internationally. He taught music for 10 years in public schools in Minnesota and Iowa.
There will be a concert for the public at 5:30 p.m. in the Boone Central High School gym. Note that the concert time is earlier this year than it has been in the past. There will be an admission charge at the door.
