Albion Chamber of Commerce installed a new president, Scott Reilly, during its annual membership banquet Sunday evening, Jan. 25, at the Albion Country Club.
Due to the weather, only about 60 people attended the combined banquet of the chamber and the Boone County Area Foundation.
Outgoing chamber President Scott Stuhlmiller congratulated Reilly and reviewed the chamber activities for the past year. He noted that the chamber activities contributed to the “tremendous success” of the 2008 Cattlemen’s Ball in Boone County.
Stuhlmiller noted that three new businesses, Albion Family Dental Clinic, 2 Girls and A Camera and Sunderland Enterprises, were opened during the past year. There were also new owners at Albion Lockers and Sandhills Subs.
As incoming president, Reilly, loan officer with First National Bank in Albion, noted the chamber needs the involvement of its members. Three board members, Nancy Paulson, Dee Schalk and Larry Lambert, are completing their terms this year, and replacements will be needed.
