Boone Central School Board last week picked Cory Worrell of Norfolk as their top candidate for the superintendent of schools position.
A formal motion to hire Worrell as superintendent for next year is on the agenda for the board’s regular meeting tonight, Wednesday, Feb. 18, in the Family Consumer Science Room of the high school.
Worrell, currently an Elementary Principal at Norfolk Public Schools, was chosen during a special meeting last Friday, after the board had reviewed the four finalists interviewed over the previous four days.
Karen Kayton, Boone Central School Board president, said Tuesday the Boone Central Board has an agreement with the Norfolk School Board that Worrell will be released from his administrative contract at Norfolk when their board meets next week.
