Boone County Area Food Pantry will have a new home at Dr. Randy Hedlund’s former office, 1108 West State Street in Albion.
The new space will be double the size of the current location in the United Congregational Church basement, and the building is handicapped accessible.
The pantry will be moving from the UCC basement on March 14. The food pantry will re-open on March 19. Hours of operation will remain on Thursday’s from 1:30 to 4 p.m. Food donations can be accepted at any time by contacting Sue Sydow.
The pantry is an emergency facility that helps families or individual in times of need up to three times a year. Families that have additional needs, beyond the three times a year, can meet with a board of three members to discuss their situation.
