Albion Girl Scouts were the recipients of a $7,000 gift this week from the late Mr. and Mrs. Grant Olson and the Prairie Hills Girl Scout Endowment Fund.
The Prairie Hills Endowment was founded in 1992 when a legacy gift was given to the Girl Scouts (then Prairie Hills Council) by the Grant Olson Estate. The Olsons were long-time farmers in Boone County and made sure to give special attention to the Albion community by supporting non-profit organizations, such as the Girl Scouts and the Albion Education Foundation.
