It was an all too brief appearance for the Boone Central Lady Cardinals in the C-1 Girls State Basketball Tournament last week.
Despite a valiant comeback effort in the second half, the Lady Cards were unable to overcome a 22-point halftime deficit against Bennington, and Boone Central lost the first round game by a score of 59-51.
