Madeline F. Schmitt, 94, of Columbus, died Thursday, Feb. 26, 2009 at the Countryside Home in Madison. Funeral services were held  Monday, March 2,  at 11 a.m. at Trinity Lutheran Church. Rev. Douglas Zurek officiated. Interment was held in the Zion Lutheran Cemetery, Grand Prairie, on Monday at 2 p.m.

Betty L. Thompson

Betty L. Thompson, 78, of Lincoln, died on Thursday, Feb. 26, 2009. Funeral services were held on Monday, March 2 at 10 a.m. at Cathedral of the Risen Christ in Lincoln. Monsignor Robert Ticker officiated. Interment was held in Lincoln Memorial Park.

Marion Louise McPhillips, 79, of Cedar Rapids, died on Thursday, Feb. 26, 2009 at the Boone County Health Center. Funeral services were held at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, March 3 at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church in Cedar Rapids. Mgsr. Ralph Steffensmeier officiated. Burial was held in the Parish Cemetery, Cedar Rapids.

Mildred I. Ladd, 94, of Albion, died on Monday, March 9, 2009 at the Wolf Memorial Good Samaritan Center. Funeral services were held at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, March 11 at Zion Lutheran Church, Albion. Rev. Larry Sydow officiated. Burial was held in the Rose Hill Cemetery, Albion.
