Boone County received less snow than some areas of North Central Nebraska from the late spring storm overnight Saturday, April 4-5, but the snow and strong winds made travel conditions difficult in the area.
The storm began Saturday afternoon and continued into Sunday morning, bringing three to four inches heavy, wet snow to the Albion area. Pushed by wind gusts of 35 to 40 miles per hour from the north, the snow created deep drifts on some roadways and plastered all north-facing vehicles and buildings.

Sunny skies returned to melt away some of the snow Sunday.
