Eleven Boone County veterans are preparing for their Honor Flight trips to Washington, DC, on April 23 and 24. Those from Albion, shown above, are (front, l. to r.) Bob Streeter, Florian Luettel and Don Thompson, and (back row) Earl Miller and Don Thessen.
Others making the trip from Boone County will be Alvin Luettel, LaVern Nissen and Laurence Ketteler, all of Petersburg; Reggie Dobson and Roland Dobson of Cedar Rapids, and Carol Thompson of St. Edward.
They will view the World War II and other memorials and sites on their one-day trips to the nation’s capitol.
