City of Albion was notified Monday, April 20, that it has received a Housing Study Grant from the Nebraska Investment Finance Authority (NIFA) for a focus study on the downtown area.
The grant will provide half of the funding ($10,000) for a special study of the downtown area as part of its current comprehensive planning process.
Albion Economic Development Corp. has requested that the city fund the other half of the project from city sales tax receipts designated for economic development.
