There was just a little extra roar in the Albion air Friday night.
Area racing fans enjoyed a special treat as the Boone County Raceway presented a program of Super Late Model Racing, with some of the Midwest’s top drivers battling local and area favorites.
Along with the special program, point battles coninued to rage in the BCR’s other three classes. The Hobby Stock point race remains tied, but with a new driver – Norfolk’s Nic Kimmel – joining the deadlock. Humphrey’s Randy Hooker and Justin Addison of Leigh ran 1-2 in the Street Stock A Feature – Hooker maintaining his slim one-point season advantage. Osceola’s Dylan Smith continues to hold a sizeable lead in the Modified standings, despite a sixth-place finish in last week’s feature race.
