Boone County Relay for Life walk raised $21,000 in contributions to fight cancer. The annual event was held June 12-13 at the Boone Central School track. Theresa Baack of Kearney (shown above) was a special Hero of Hope speaker at the opening ceremonies Friday night. She explained the “Fight Back” program of the American Cancer Society. A total of 15 teams participated this year.
