James Thomas Hartford, MD, 61, died June 21, 2009 after a short battle with pancreatic cancer. Cremation will take place in Lancaster Crematorium, England, and a Celebration of Life and internment of ashes will be held in Albion, on Sept. 18. Details will be announced.

Louise Elizabeth Freeburg, 94, formerly of Petersburg, died on Wednesday, June 24, 2009 at her home in Elkhorn. Funeral services were held at 10:30 a.m. on Monday, June 29 at St. Michael’s Catholic Church in Albion. Fr. Stan Schmit officiated with burial at the  Mt. Pleasant Cemetery in Petersburg.
