Thrills and spills were common for cowboys competing in the 15th Annual Gateway to the Sandhills Bull Ride Classic last Saturday, July 4, at the Boone County Fairgrounds. More than 30 cowboys mounted bulls for the qualifying ride, with 10 moving on to the short round that determined the final top six. A large crowd attended the event, which was sponsored by the Boone Central FFA Alumni.
