Groundbreaking ceremonies will be held on Sunday, July 19, for the new Phase III addition to Boone County Health Center in Albion.
The public is invited to gather at the hospital entrance for the 2 p.m. ceremony.
Speakers will include Vic Lee, hospital administrator and CEO; Dr. Joel Travis, chief of the BCHC medical staff, and Tom Schuele, chairman of the Boone County Commissioners.
The Phase III project will add 12 more private rooms, a family suite for terminally ill patients and two OB suites. The rooms will be larger, with family areas and larger restrooms.
