If there has been a constant at the Boone County Raceway this summer, it’s been the domination by Osceola’s Dylan Smith in the Modified division.
On a cool July 3rd evening, Smith highlighted the BCR holiday card by winning the Modified A Feature – his second straight feature victory and eighth in 2009.
In other feature race action preceding a spectacular fireworks display, Elgin’s Robbie Evans won the Hobby Stock A and former BCR regular Shawn Primrose of Norfolk marked his return to the fairgrounds facility with a Street Stock main event victory.
The Late Model A Feature was postponed by rain and will be contested at the opening of the Friday, July 10, BCR program.
The only change in point leaders following Friday’s action was Randy Hooker regaining the edge on Jason Wilkinson in the Street Stock division. Chris Tenski (Hobby Stock), Dylan Smith (Modified) and Robert Osborne (Late Model) all held on to advantages in their respective classes.
