Boone County Attorney David R. Medlin is resigning his office effective next Tuesday, Oct. 13.
Medlin, who has served as county attorney for nearly 11 years, will be leaving to accept a position as Deputy Hall County Attorney in Grand Island.
“I have enjoyed serving as county attorney here, but this is an opportunity I wanted to pursue,” said Medlin. In his letter of resignation, he stated: “I’ve always felt a sense of pride whenever I would tell people that I was from Boone County. It’s a great place to live and raise a family.”
