Nebraska Secretary of State John Gale focused on members of the Nebraska Hall of Fame during his talk at the “Enchanted Trail” event Saturday, Oct. 3, at the Olson Nature Preserve.
Sixty to 70 people gathered around the campfire on the chilly evening for Gale’s presentation as “Cactus Jack.”
He presented stories from Nebraska’s past about Gov. George W. Norris, Buffalo Bill Cody, William Jennings Bryan, Susan LaFlesche Tibbles and General George Crook. All were visionary and went out of their way to help their fellowmen, said Gale.
