Boone Central’s cross country teams had individual runners place in the top three of each division Friday in the annual combined Bloomfield Invitational/Mid-State Conference Meet at Bloomfield.
Senior Kevin Carder finished third in the Mid-State portion of the event and fourth overall while freshman Cassidy Pribnow took second in the Mid-State and fifth in the overall meet. Both runners posted times among the best in school history.
“It was another exceptional day – great weather, great competition and great response by our runners,” commented Cardinal Coach Tom Dickey. Carder’s performance, in an all-time Boone Central best 16:37, led Boone Central to third place in the Mid-State standings and fourth in the overall Bloomfield meet.
Calvin Koziol finished 12th in the Mid-State in 18:06 and Brody Kelley was right behind in 13th with an 18:13 clocking. Bryce Schilousky was 15th in the conference at 18:36, Jacob Lindgren 18th in 18:51 and Cody Mangus 21st in 19:06.
Pribnow clocked the #2 time on Boone Central charts (15:46) in her runner-up Mid-State finish. Cassie Lindgren placed 17th in the conference portion of the race (18:34).
