Although conditions have been less than favorable this fall for the 2009 firearm deer season, Chris Nelson and Kurtis Rasmussen of Albion had no trouble bagging two impressive bucks. Nelson and Rasmussen took their deer less than five minutes apart early November 17 approximately one-half mile north of the old District #49 schoolhouse. Nelson (left) came away with a 4-by-4 rack animal while Rasmussen’s deer was a rare 6-by-7 point non-typical.
