Boone County Commissioners approved a motion Monday to accept 21 subcontract bids on the courthouse renovation project.
The board met with Buster Beckenhauer and Ben Fink of Beckenhauer Construction, general contractor for the project, to review all of the subcontractor bids. Some of the bid amounts had changed after bid verification contacts had been made by Beckenhauer, and some bid bonds were required due to a wide spread between the low and second-low bids.
Beckenhauer will return to the Dec. 14 commissioners meeting for the signing of final contracts and documents. Buster Beckenhauer said if everything goes according to schedule, work could begin in early January, 2010.
