Albion VFW Auxiliary members, Dr. Rich Heidemann, Valero and Cargill teamed up on Monday to get care packages filled and sent to area troops overseas on Monday. A few of the boxes contained 85 pounds of candy that Dr. Rich Heidemann had received during his 2009 Halloween candy buy-back. The other boxes contained candy, cookies, other snacks, cameras, batteries and toiletries. A total of 12 boxes were sent to troops. Cargill paid the shipping on the boxes and Valero purchased many of the items that went into the boxes.
