When you see members of rural Immanuel Zion Lutheran Church and their kids heading for the church’s kitchen with rolling pins, rosette irons and lefse griddles in hand, you know it is the first Saturday morning of December and time for their marathon baking fest.
That event took place last Saturday, Dec. 5. Alison Kern (above) was one of the participants baking such delicacies as lefse, kringle, krumkaka and rosettes.
