Power line meeting planned for Petersburg

More information meetings will be held in January on the proposed new electric transmission line from Petersburg to Ericson.

Community and county leaders are being invited to meetings on Wednesday, Jan. 6, at Petersburg and Ericson.

A 7 a.m. breakfast meeting will be held in Petersburg at the Legion Club, and a 12 noon luncheon meeting will be held at the Starving Stallion in Ericson.

These meetings are an opportunity to provide feedback on the new transmission line, which is needed to support a pumping station on the TransCanada Keystone XL crude oil pipeline through central Nebraska. The transmission line will connect the new NPPD substation east of Petersburg with a new Loup Valleys Rural Public Power District substation to be located near Ericson.
