Wilkinson Streak Ends, Iverson Retains BCR Modified Lead

Iverson (98T) and Afrank (11A) battleAs the saying goes – all good things come to an end.
Such was the case for Neligh’s Jason Wilkinson, who saw his early-season feature race unbeaten streaks stopped with a runner-up finish in the Hobby Stock class and 3rd place position in the Street Stock division Friday, May 28, at the Boone County Raceway in Albion.
Wilkinson continues to lead season points in both classes, holding a seven-point lead over Colby Langenberg of Norfolk in the Hobby class and a six-point edge on Doug Adamy of Columbus in Street Stock standings.
Tyler Iverson maintained his Modified point lead over fellow Albion driver Mark Lueken with an A Feature win Friday, while Lueken still tops the Late Model division despite running fifth in that feature event.
Friday also marked the initial 2010 appearance of the Holt County Sprints, as Gregg Schuetz of Norfolk claimed the A Feature and the early edge in the season point race.
