Albion residents can expect about 900 total visitors for the overnight stop of the Bike Ride Across Nebraska (BRAN) this Thursday, June 10.
The ride includes 675 riders and an estimated 225 support personnel. Nearly 100 vehicles are traveling in support of BRAN this year.
An Albion Chamber of Commerce committee met Monday night to finalize plans for the Albion overnight stay. BRAN participants will have a variety of entertainment and food options during their stay here.
The business district and some homes have been decorated to welcome BRAN’s 30th anniversary event. “Space Cowboys” is the theme this year.
The ride began Sunday, June 6 at Harrison in the far northwest corner of Nebraska, and the riders will be traveling from Burwell to Albion, a distance of 64 miles through many hills, on June 10. The 481-mile, seven-day ride will end June 12 at the SAC Museum near Ashland.
