Albion’s Post #162 American Legion Juniors baseball team braved stifling heat and humidity for a busy weekend of baseball June 26-27, competing in the difficult Central City Tournament.
The Albion Juniors had a tough opening day in the tourney at Central City’s Kernel Field, dropping a 12-4 decision to Grand Island Five Points and losing to DCB by a score of 14-7.
The Albion team showed improvement on Sunday, picking up a one-run win over York, 10-9, but taking a one-run loss to Central City, 5-4, in their final tournament game.
