In September, the Boone County Health Center installed a new CT (computed tomography) scanner in its Radiology Department.
The new equipment is capable of producing images that can help physicians detect and treat diseases at an earlier stage. The CT scanner has new technology that produces images that are clearer, quicker and more detailed than previous images.
“Our CT system offers an excellent combination of clinical excellence and patient safety with the biggest benefit being increased capabilities for early detection. We’ve always put a premium on providing our medical providers and patients with the best diagnostic tools. The real benefit is always to our patients,” said Vic Lee, president and CEO of the health center.
