Night work at wind farm

Crane raising nacelle at night.Night time has proven an ideal time to complete erection of the wind towers at Laredo Ridge Wind Farm northeast of Petersburg. Many of the generator nacelles, as well as hub and blade assemblies, have been raised and bolted into place after dark, when wind speeds are lower. This photo, of a nacelle assembly being raised into place, was taken last week by Steve Wright. As of Monday, a total of 37 wind towers had been completed.
