Board of Directors of the First National Bank, Schuyler, announced last week that Homestead Bank of Cozad has acquired all of its locations in Schuyler, Albion and Howells.
The transaction is expected to be finalized in early 2011, pending regulatory approval.
As of Sept. 30, 2009, Homestead Bank had total assets of more than $109 million and First National Bank of Schuyler had total assets of more than $108 million.
After the acquisition is completed, Homestead Bank will have locations in Schuyler, Albion and Howells, along with its current locations in Cozad, St. Paul, Lexington and Wolbach.
