Boone Central School Board Monday night approved the hiring of a middle school principal and three new teachers for the 2011-12 school year.

Jimmy Feeney, who currently serves as K-12 principal at Elgin Public School, will be the new middle school principal and curriculum director. He has served two years as principal at Elgin.

Stacy Krohn was hired as first grade teacher for next year. She is an Albion native and currently an elementary teacher in the Lincoln Public Schools.

Rachelle Spence will be a new high school Special Education teacher and transition coordinator at Boone Central next year. She currently teaches Special Education and is transition coordinator at Spalding.

Jessica Doerr, a native of Plainview, will teach high school English at Boone Central in 2011-12. She is a recent college graduate and is substitute teaching.

Kay Flanagan, longtime elementary Special Education teacher, will become the third grade classroom teacher next year, Superintendent Cory Worrell reported. That will leave only one teaching position, elementary Special Education, left to fill for next year.
