An extra special tribute to veterans of the Vietnam War era will be held in conjunction with the 2011 Boone County Fair.
The Vietnam War Memorial Moving Wall replica will be installed at Fuller Park, next door to the fairgrounds, from July 7-12, and opening ceremonies for this display will be held Friday, July 8, at 4 p.m.
This will be the first time The Moving Wall has been displayed in Boone County, although it was displayed at Tilden three years ago. The visit is sponsored by the Boone County Agricultural Society with assistance from local veterans’ organizations and business sponsors. Legion motorcycle riders will accompany the wall to the set-up site in Albion.
