A new digital projection system is being installed this week at Gateway Theatre in Albion.
The system will include a digital projector and cinema server, as well as “Real D” capability for showing 3D movies. A new silver screen for the system has already been installed at the theatre. Due to a special royalty charge for 3D movies, ticket prices will be slightly higher.
Estimated cost of the new system is about $67,000. It is to be operating for the coming weekend’s movies.
