The 2011 Boone County Fair offered plenty to see and do during its five-day run, July 9-13. Unfortunately, some extremely hot and humid weather reduced attendance on several nights.
The biggest grandstand crowd, estimated at more than 2,000 people, was on hand for the Combine Demolition Derby and Two-Car Chain Races on Tuesday night. Rains came on Wednesday evening, July 13, forcing postponement of the popular School Bus Races and Tough Truck & Car Races until Sunday evening, July 17.
