At the Oct. 3 meeting of the Petersburg Community Club, members agreed to present a plaque to Blattner Energy in recognition of their community support.
Steve Boyer of TPW stated, “We expect to have a commissioning ceremony on Monday, Oct. 31, 2011 and are expecting the Governor, Lt. Governor, and other dignitaries.”
He noted it was up to OPPD to decide when to take the power from the TPW wind farm. Also mentioned was the fact that TPW had been in the community for five years. There was some discussion of presenting a honorary Petersburg citizen plaque to Gov. Heineman during the ceremony.
