Boone Central School Board Monday night approved cooperative agreements for two high school sports between Boone Central and Newman Grove Public Schools.
The board approved co-op agreements for both high school football and volleyball in the 2012-13 and 2013-14 school years.
Superintendent Cory Worrell explained the fall sports agreements were needed, especially for football, by Nov. 1 so they could be submitted to the Nebraska School Activities Association (NSAA) for district alignments and scheduling of next fall’s season. Co-op agreements for the other sports can be completed at a later date.
Newman Grove School Board was expected to take similar action at their meeting Monday night.
