Wilbert J. “Cookie” Cook

Wilbert J. “Cookie” Cook, 81, of Albion, formerly of Cedar Rapids,  died unexpectedly Tuesday, Nov. 22, 2011 after suffering a severe heart attack at his home. Mass of Christian Burial was held Saturday, Nov. 26 at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church in Cedar Rapids. Interment followed at St. Anthony’s Cemetery in Cedar Rapids, with Military Rites conducted by the Dan Cox American Legion Post 44 of Cedar Rapids. Janet Lee (Palmer) Johnson, 69, of St. Edward died Saturday, Nov. 26, 2011 at the Methodist Hospital in Omaha. Funeral services will be held Thursday, Dec. 1 at 11 a.m. at Zion Lutheran Church in Albion, with burial to follow at Rose Hill Cemetery. Wallace (Wally) L. Abraham

Wallace (Wally) L Abraham, 75, of Mesa, AZ, formerly of Lincoln and Albion, died Thursday, Nov. 24, 2011 at Mesa East Nursing Home in Mesa. Mr. Abraham donated his body to South West Institute for Bio Advancment, and at a later date he will be cremated per his wishes. A memorial service will be held on Dec. 10 at 11 a.m. at Southwood Lutheran, 9300  S. 40th St. in Lincoln.
