Applications for 3,001.4 new irrigated acres to be developed in 2012 were approved by the Lower Loup Natural Resources District (LLNRD) Board of Directors at their November meeting.
Boone County producers will be allowed to develop 436.13 new irrigated acres, the third largest total among the NRD’s 16 counties. A total of 13 applications for new irrigated acres were approved in Boone County.

The two counties with larger allocations of new irrigated acres were Buffalo County, 478.37 acres, and Custer County, 454.34 acres.
