Kennedy Selected For NCA All-Star Contest

Boone Central senior Jaime Kennedy, a second-team Class C1 All-State selection in 2011-12 by the Omaha World-Herald and Lincoln Journal-Star, has been selected to compete in the 2012 Nebraska Coaches Association All-Star basketball game.
The NCA All-Star Girls’ and Boys’ Games will be played Monday, July 23, at Lincoln North Star High School with the girls game beginning at 6:00 p.m., followed by the boys contest at 8:00. NET will televise both games statewide.
The NCA All-Star Game will be especially memorable for the Kennedy family. Boone Central Coach Mike Kennedy will be an assistant coach for the Blue team, giving him one more opportunity to coach his accomplished daughter.
Jeff Thober of Ravenna will be the head coach for the Blue squad, with Roger Lauhead of Wauneta-Palisades heading the Red team, assisted by Fremont’s Tony Weinandt.
