Arby L. Kruger

Arby L. Kruger, 93, formerly of Albion, NE, passed away in Las Vegas, NV on May 24, 2012. His cremains will be  buried at St. Boniface Catholic Cemetery in Stuart following a Catholic burial service at a later date.  Memorials may be made in the name of Arby Kruger to the American Lung Association at 1301 Pennsylvania Ave NW, Suite 800, Washington DC 2004.

Agnes M. Valasek

Agnes M. Valasek, 101, of Spalding, NE died Friday, June 1, 2012 at the Wolf Memorial Good Samaritan Center in Albion, NE.  A Mass of Christian Burial was held on Tuesday, June 5, 2012 at St. Michael’s Parish Center in Spalding with Rev. Don Buhrman officiating.  Interment followed at St. Michael’s Cemetery in Spalding. Condolences may be sent to the family at www.levanderfuneralhomes.com. Jess Lloyd Keifer

Jess Lloyd Keifer, 93, died Monday, May 28, 2012 at the Mt. Carmel Home in Kearney, NE. Funeral services  were held Friday, June 1, 2012 at the First Presbyterian Church in Holdrege with Rev. Dr. W. Kirwin Stewart, Jr., officiating. Interment was at the Prairie Home Cemetery in Holdrege with Military Honors provided by the Martin Horn American Legion Post #66 in conjunction with the United States Air Force Military Honors Team. A memorial has been established in his memory and can be designated to the First Presbyterian Church of Holdrege or the Jess and Willa Keifer Memorial Scholarship to be given to a Holdrege High School graduate. Robert “Bob” J. Thiem

Robert “Bob” J. Thiem, 65, of Lincoln passed away on June 3, 2012. A celebration of Bob’s life will be held Thursday, June 7, 2012 at 6 p.m. with family receiving friends at 5 p.m., at Braman Mortuary (Southwest Chapel), 6505 S. 144 St., Omaha, NE 68137, 402-895-3400. Graveside service will be Friday, June 8, 2012 at 10 a.m. at St. John’s Cemetery in Petersburg, NE. Military honors will be by American Legion Post #374 and Veterans of Foreign Wars  #8334.
