The Cornerstone Legion Baseball Juniors bounced back from a loss to Aurora to win a pair of home games last week, boosting their season record to 8-2.
Cornerstone blasted Neligh 22-0 in a three-inning blowout Wednesday, June 13 at the Albion Sports Complex Legion Field, then topped visiting Ord 11-4 Thursday in a game called after six innings by time limit.

On the mound, in the field and at the plate, the Albion Cornerstone Juniors dominated Neligh June 13 in a 22-0 win ended by mercy rules after three innings.
Travis Kennedy blanked the visitors on one hit, striking out six of 11 batters and walking two. Meanwhile, Cornerstone pounded out 15 hits in the contest, scoring 13 runs in the bottom of the first and wrapping up the decision with nine more in the second.

Cornerstone scored four runs in the second inning and four more in the fourth to spark an 11-4 win over Ord June 14 in a game called on time limit after six innings.
After Pierce Koch singled and scored in the first, the Albion Juniors took a 5-0 lead in the second on runs by Alex Pelster, Colton Pelster, Justin Rasmussen and Noah Weidner. Albion used five walks and nine stolen bases to do its damage, along with singles by Weidner and Koch.
Cornerstone boosted its advantage to 9-0 with the four-run fourth. The local Juniors again took advantage of free passes, walking three times and stealing seven bases. Kennedy and Alex Pelster contributed base hits as Kennedy, Tyler Hedlund, Derek Gentrup and Wyatt Mazour crossed the plate.
