Boone County Raceway Point Battles Heat Up

races.jpgWith some point leads razor close and other margins widening, drivers continue to vie for position Friday at the Boone County Raceway in Albion.
Norfolk’s Kyle Prauner  retook the lead in a back-and-forth IMCA Sport Mods battle with Nelson Volbrecht of Stanton by winning Friday’s A Feature. TeJay Miekle of Norfolk finished 12th in the Street Stock feature race, but retained the class point lead by a four-point margin. Jacob Anson holds a three-point edge over fellow Albion IMCA Modified competitor Tyler Iverson following June 22 action.
Three other season leaders hold more comfortable cushions. Jason Wilkinson of Neligh has a 20-point gap in IMCA Hobby Stock standings, Norfolk’s Tad Pospisil is now 16 points up on Limited Late Model competition and Cameron Meyer of Pierce tops the IMCA Sport Compact class by 10 points.
BCR racing will continue June 29 at 8 p.m.
