County’s valuation rises

Boone County’s total property valuation will increase by more than $116 million or 10.46 percent this year.
The 2012 increase marks the fourth time in five years the county’s property valuations — driven primarily by higher prices for agricultural land — have increased by more than 10 percent year-to-year.
The 2012-13 valuation is $1.22 billion.
