School Board considers iPad technology

Putting new technology in the hands of students was the primary topic of the Boone Central School Board’s special meeting Monday night, Aug. 27, in Albion.
A new iPad learning initiative, whereby iPads would be placed in the hands of all high school and middle school students, was presented to the board by Superintendent Cory Worrell and teachers Kristen Evans, Carol Eischeid and Tina Sauser.
Superintendent Worrell said goals of this program would be to enhance delivery of information to students and staff, improve student achievement, and improve the technology skills of all students and staff members.
The school board will consider the topic again at its next meeting on Sept. 11.
