Boone County veterans groups and area residents observed Patriot Day last Tuesday evening, Sept. 11, featuring a walk and patriotic program at the St. Edward Fire Station. About 60 to 65 people attended.
Two Nebraska National Guard officers were guest speakers after the walk.
